This College Scam

Like many of you guys, I grew up with Full House, practically watching every episode. I haven’t watched Fuller House. But from watching the trailers, the show seems like it still has that moral essence. But then my jaw dropped when I read AUNT BECKY, aka Lori Loughlin, was behind this huge college scam. If you don’t know by now, it’s been revealed that rich families have been paying colleges large sums to admit their lackluster kids. These parents have gone so far to photoshop their kids faces into sports teams, pay to have their kids SAT scores manipulated, and all sorts of disgusting tactics.

This Happens All The Time……

I always complain about how easier it is for wealthy people to just pay their way through life. I wasn’t that surprised when I first heard about this though. Rich people do this all the time and I am damn sure it goes on in every industry/practice including the college process. As corrupt as it is, this is the sad reality of America. I’m glad 2019 is the year of exposing because I am fed up with talented, hardworking people getting absolutely nothing while a person who lacks brain cells gets a certain opportunity just because they are a descendant of Bill Gates. It’s unfair and nevertheless stupid, like literally. You’re hiring stupid people who offer nothing to your company but more stupidity.

She Really Payed $500,000 😩

I think the most embarrassing part of this story was realizing that Lori Loughlin had to pay $500,000 for her daughters to be admitted. Forget using that money for charities, research, and the poor because many celebs just don’t care. But, you had to pay that much? Like how bad is your child😑? And then I researched Olivia Jade’s, Lori Loughlin’s daughter, Youtube channel has almost 2 million views. Now initially I was thinking, well maybe she bought her views. However, the type of videos that are trending every day on Youtube highlight basic activities people do such as “Trying on New Clothes” or “New Make-Up Line”. Yes, the most basic and stupid shit we do in our regular lives get millions of views on Youtube 😒.

The Reality

And then, I think about myself. I grew up in a poor neighborhood in the Bronx, but managed to work my ass off in high school. As a result, I’m modeling a full ride at NYU concentrating on screenwriting and journalism. As a person of color, I hear comments about my people not being smart enough and only given a pass for being a minority, another story. Well, guess what, I put in my work and still continue to put in my work. I feel blessed with what I have now and it sucks when you have these rich families spoil their kids to a point where they feel entitled. Now, Lori and these other witches will probably get very little jail time due to their race. But, times like this is when I love social media. A great Twitter dragging is always fun to read. Nevertheless, Olivia lost her collaboration with Sephora (do you see how easy it is for rich kids to get this shit like wtf), she and her sis dropped out 😂🙌✌, and her mom was fired off of Fuller House. I’m tired of privileged people getting everything sneakily while deserving people get nothing. I know there are more people out there who do this and don’t get caught. But, cases like this give me hope and ENTERTAINMENT!!!
